DDz was invited to perform for the Topping Out Ceremony. Not really sure what that was but heard that it was something like "putting the last block of brick" or something like that. Was told by a senior from band that they were invited to perform for some Ground-breaking Ceremony two years back - some ceremony when the construction was first started. Funny how there are so many ceremonies which don't seem to have any useful purposes. Hmmm maybe because I am not in the business world yet that's why won't understand how this kind of ceremony is important for the school *shrug shrug*
Anyway, after three months of learning the dance "Used to be Good Time" ("Used to be" by Ryan Leslie + "Good Time" by Owl City) and a few weeks of cleaning and blocking and full run, we finally did the performance! Our performance hadn't been consistent throughout the whole time leading up to the performance itself, so we were quite nervous plus worried. But we kept our high energy and did all we could for the performance, apparently we did quite well for the performance itself haha. The Pres for DD, Hakim told us that "Daniel has received feedback from the staff and faculty and they were impressed by your performance. So good job! ........." Hmmm actually I kinda have a vague memory that he (or other seniors) said something else but can't really remember .. OK doesn't matter. The thing is, I am so not good with my facial expression that I really had a hard time smiling haha. Keeping the smile on my face for more than 5 seconds would give me a face cramp HAHA!
