it has taken a lot of time off me!

this thought has again arisen in my mind: should i quit badminton?

i have this thought, not because i have no interest in it anymore, but i realised that it has taken a lot of time off me. because of badminton, i realised that i cannot join other activities which i am interested in.

for example, last time the surabayans came over to singapore. because of badminton, i have missed so much time staying with them! i thought back when we were over there in surabaya. they had spent all their time with us and now when they came over, i have missed a lot of outings.

besides, when the students from mingdao, taiwan came over, again because of badminton, i couldn't find any time to go out with them. once, i was getting damn frustrated. iiiiiiiiiiiiissh!

not saying that i should not neglect my interest in badminton. however, you have to realise that there are a lot of activities that we can only do in our school life. once we step out of the school 3 years later. there will be no chance for you to join these kinds of activities again.

i have talked to my friend.and she agreed with me but she also raised some points about this issue. she said that she would like to quit badminton and join whatever she wants but if she quit badminton, there will be nothing in our portfolio. it is because, what we are good at? badminton. other that badminton? nothing. see, i am in a great dilemma now.

quitting badminton, i can enjoy my entire school life in singapore but there will be nothing in my portfolio. continuing badminton, there will be something in my portfolio of course but i have to suffer a few more years of boring school life. when i want to join these kinds of activities again in the future, or to seek back what is interesting about my school life, there will be no more chance and what i can say is "i got no time, so i didn't join any activity.". i don't want to regret.

no matter what choice i choose ultimately, there are pros and cons. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrgh! i gotta talk to my parent about this, maybe someday later. gotta decide soon.
